Fox Announces 2010-11 Primetime Schedule

As Fox heads into the 2010-11 TV season, the majority of their dramas remain intact. The absence of 24 from the schedule leaves a big hole in the action adventure department, but I think Steven Spielberg may help solve that problem early next year with his new series Terra Nova.

Glee, which has clearly been Fox's biggest success of the 2009-10 season, has landed the biggest TV spot of the year -- the coveted post-Superbowl timeslot, airing February 6, 2011.

Unlike NBC's overload of crime dramas, Fox has three new and very different dramas (two airing midseason) on tap for the 2010-11 season. Will the new series overpower CBS in the ratings? Stay tuned...

New Dramas Coming to Fox

Lonestar
In Houston, Texas the very charming Bob Allen is married to a beautiful woman named Cat, whose father Clint is the patriarch of one of the richest oil families in the country. His plans for the future are to position himself high enough in the oil company so he can one day clean them out. Hundreds of miles away in Midland, Texas, Robert Allen has an adorable girlfriend named Lindsay and spends his time bilking investors out of their hard-earned cash. Bob and Robert happen to be the same man, living two lives -- which are coming dangerously close to colliding.

Fox takes viewers for a ride in the passenger seat with this exciting and emotional crime drama about some of the most respected, notorious and even corrupted cops on the beat, shot on location in the heart of Chicago.

Terra Nova (Midseason)
Steven Spielberg brings his special brand of epic storytelling to the small screen with this incredible adventure set 85 million years ago. The year is 2149 and planet earth is literally dying -- it's overpopulated, over-polluted and our vegetation and animal life are all but gone. Scientists have found a way to go back in time to correct our mistakes, so a colony of humans are sent back 85 million years to try and save the planet. The colony is called Terra Nova, and is filled with people with different backgrounds and specialties who must battle the elements (and some very large prehistoric creatures) and work together to make the colony a success -- but there may be some sinister elements at work inside Terra Nova!
