It may come as no surprise that just about everything on CBS made the fall schedule. Four new and very unique dramas are ready to keep viewers entertained the entire 2007-08 season. After watching extended clips of all the new series, I can assure you all that the new offerings from CBS look fantastic. My favorites of the bunch are the vampire drama Moonlight and Swingtown. Stay tuned tubers, this fall on CBS will knock your socks off!

Canceled: Close to Home

New Dramas in 2007:

Cane
Starring: Jimmy Smits, Hector Elizondo, Nestor Carbonell, Paola Turbay, Eddie Matos, Rita Moreno, Michael Trevino, Lina Esco, Sam Carman, Alona Tal and Polly Walker.

Premise: This series focuses on the power struggle between two Cuban-American familes in the sugar and rum business. As greed, love, lust and the quest for power fuels these two families, the conflicts within the families is where the real drama lies.

Moonlight
Starring: Alex O'Loughlin, Amber Valletta and Rade Serbedzija

Premise: The ever-famous movie Producer Joel Silver brings to the small screen this series that sounds oddly familiar to the WB's Angel. After being turned into a vampire 60 years ago by his new wife, Mick St. John has resisted the lure of the flesh by helping the helpless humans. After spending his undead life doing good, Mick decides the time is right to pursue a real relationship - can he find the right woman?

Viva Laughlin
Starring: Lloyd Owen, Hugh Jackman, Madchen Amick, Ellen Woglom, Carter Jenkins, Eric Winter and D.B. Woodside.

Premise: This interesting and highly entertaining drama centers around a man who is determined to open a casino in Laughlin, Nevada. When his financing falls through, he is forced to make a deal with a questionable casino owner. Further complicating his life is a murder investigation and a demanding family.

Swingtown - Mid-Season
Starring: Molly Parker, Jack Davenport, Grant Show, Lana Parrilla, Miriam Shor, Josh Hopkins, Shanna Collins, Aaron Howles and Brittany Robertson.

Premise: Get out those bell bottoms and head backto the 1970s during sexual and social revolution. When a suburban family moves into a new community, they soon learn that their neighbors share much more than a cup of sugar!
