The CW Announces the 2007-08 Television Schedule

Heading into their second season, the CW has a whole new slate of programming that promises to appeal to any type of viewer. Three new dramas are set to enter the varied mix, while fan favorites Smallville, Supernatural and One Tree Hill (returning mid-season) continue to lead the pack. Of the three new series, the one that seems to be the most promising is Gossip Girl. Stay tuned tubers, this fall should be an interesting one on the CW -- but can they survive without the Gilmore Girls?

Canceled: 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.

New Series in 2007-08

Gossip Girl
Starring: Blake Lively as Serena Van Der Woodsen; Leighton Meester as Blair; Connor Paolo as Eric; Chace Crawford as Nate; Ed Westwick as Chuck; Penn Badgley as Dan; Taylor Momsen as Jenny; Kelly Rutherford as Lily; Sam Robards as Howie "The Captain" Archibald; Kristin Bell as the Narrator.

Premise: From the brilliant minds that brought us The O.C. comes a fun drama about wealthy teens living in New York City. They may live privileged lives, but someone amongst their group is always busy blogging about their dirty little secrets - the problem is they don't know who has been betraying them.

Life is Wild
Starring: K'Sun Ray as Chase Clark, Judith Hoag as Jo Weller-Clark, Brett Cullen as Danny Clarke, Mary Mouser as Mia Weller, Andrew St. John as Jesse Weller, Leah Pipes as Katie Clarke, David Butler as Art.

Premise: When a father moves his family from New York City to South Africa for a year, they all think he's gone crazy until they begin to understand the breathtaking beauty this county has to offer. Will they want to leave once their year is over?

Reaper
Starring: Nikki Reed as Andi, Bret Harrison as Sam, Tyler Labine as Sock, Ray Wise as the devil.

Premise: Some of the best minds in the biz (including Kevin Smith) bring us this promising dramedy about a young adult who becomes a bounty hunter for the devil. His job may be scary at times, but he soon realizes that capturing evil beings is much more satisfying than sitting around playing videogames all day.
