The premiere of our favorite TV dramas is always a treat after waiting four months to learn the fates of the characters when a show ended with an agonizing cliffhanger. Find out what's ahead on the hottest television dramas this fall -- but don't look unless you really want to know!
'Prison Break'
The non-stop action continues as Prison Break enters its fourth season. Although we were led to believe that Dr. Sara literally lost her head last season, the love of Michael's life is back with her head firmly planted on top of her shoulders. This season finds our guys determined to take down the 'Company' once and for all. Will Mahone, Whistler and Gretchen throw a wrench into their plans? How will T-Bag and Sucre fare at Sona? I wouldn't worry too much about poor Sucre, he quickly joins the group in taking down the bad guys. But watch out, new and dangerous characters are entering the mix and someone is going to die in the two-hour season premiere -- and it's a major character!
'Heroes'
The writers strike threw a major wrench into season two of Heroes. The final episode set the stage for what's to come -- and let me tell you, season three is going to be the best yet! At the end of season two, Nathan and Niki lives were in jeopardy. Did they survive? I know for sure that those two are present and accounted for in at least the first two episodes. Sylar has regained his powers and it's going to be a violent season as he has loads of pent up anger. Let's just say that heads are going to roll and one of them might just be someone near and dear to viewers. Just when we thought Linderman was dead, he appears once again. Peter and Nathan's mother will make a huge reveal that will change the lives of many of our favorite heroes....
'Desperate Housewives'
Going into its fifth season, Desperate Housewives is still as hot as ever! At the end of the season four finale, the show jumped ahead five years and found the women living very different lives. The new season continues five years in the future. Gaby is still with Carlos and has finally become a mother, Bree is a local celebrity, with a cookbook about to hit the shelves, Lynette's boys are juvenile delinquents, Susan has a new man in her life and Edie returns to Wisteria Lane with a new man in tow -- and the season's newest mystery. Although the series has jumped ahead in time, we'll learn what happened to get the ladies to this point in time through a series of flashbacks.
'Gossip Girl'
The gang is back for another wild season of the CW's most controversial series. Out in the Hamptons, Serena and Nate have become a couple -- no not really, but that's what they've got everybody believing. In actuality, Nate is seeing an older, married woman and Serena is still nursing her wounds over the big break-up with Dan. The second episode of the season may find those two back together for a bit, but don't count on that lasting too long. The green-eyed monster strikes Chuck when Blair returns with a hot new man in her life.
'Grey's Anatomy'
Series creator Shonda Rhimes is keeping her promise to go full steam ahead with the Meredith/Derek relationship. Those two will be in a happy place and I'm hearing rumors that they might be living together very soon. Erica and Callie will explore their sexuality and what that means for their relationship. A new doctor is headed to Seattle Grace in the form of Kevin McKidd and it looks like he and Cristina may have more in common than just a simple scalpel. Alex and Izzie may share an intimate moment or two this fall, but will it be out of a depressive state of mind or could these two wind up falling for each other?
'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'
The series may be entering its ninth season, but CSI isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Warrick has been murdered, Grissom is leaving the show in episode 10 and Jorja Fox is heading back for three episodes this fall. Film star Laurence Fishburne will step into William Petersen's shoes as of episode nine and his character is sure to add a whole new element to the series. CBS describes this new character as "a former pathologist who is now working as an itinerant college lecturer, teaching a course in criminalistics. His focus is on understanding criminal behavior, how and why people commit acts of violence - tendencies he disturbingly sees within himself." A star of this caliber speaks volumes for the excellence of this series.
