Life on Mars

I am still devastated by this cancellation. SO many stories left to tell, and abc did everything in it's power to kill it and then blamed the fans for low ratings! I have sworn off all new shows from abc!

TRAUMA

Trauma was a great show. They had great characters and stories. The networks never keep shows on long enough anymore for people to find them and get into the show.

Roswell

Really! What were they thinking when they canceled this? Hundreds of thousands of fans sent letters and tabasco sause or snapple lids and we still couldnt get it saved! It was the best! I bet if it aired now with this supernatural phenomenon going on it would do better! We miss you Roswell!!!

worst cancellation

I haven't seen any of those shows listed, but I was a HUGE fan of "Pushing Daisy's" and someone also mentioned "the Black Donnelly's", that was good too. Loved "Dead Like Me" It seems as if a lot of the shows where you actually have to have an imagination to watch get cut too easily. They don't give them a chance to lure in the audiences.

So many...

Farscape Fireflly Dead Like Me Pushing Daisies The Dresden Files (had real potential) As you can tell, I have a fondess for SF and Fantasy that isn't pretentious. Sure, they might have their poor moments, but none of the above listed shows tried to pass off soap-opera for genre entertainment. I also enjoyed the complex plot and great characters on Life.

FARSCAPE!

It was intended to be a 5 year series, but when the economy took a downturn, Sci-Fi decided it was too expensive with all the special effects involved. It ended up being only 4 seasons, with a very disappointing after the fact movie to end the series. It was definitely one of my favorite (if not THE favorite) shows of all times. Roswell was another I loved, Dollhouse, Journeyman, Moonlight, and so many others. It seems any time they come out with a show that really gets you thinking and has great writing and acting, *POOF* it's cancelled. And yet such drivel as Gossip Girl and 90210 all over again and The Bachelor(ette) and Next Top Model and so many other can't they please, PLEASE die already shows keep going and going and going.

bad cancellation

In my opinion out of the last decade of cancellations by networks, USA's The 4400 was really hard to take, not because they pulled the plug but because of when they did it, the last episode that ran, that was supposed to be just a season finale with them coming back the following season, left so many questions and many fans upset when the announcement came. I, among thousands of people world wide, thought it was a bad choice on USA/NBC's part to stop the show, I still would like to know the one answer, Did Tom take it or not, and if he did, what happened to him.. eh just my opinion. I never liked heros as a result, as they were a big deciding factor in the show being cancelled, and for one am glad to see them get the plug pulled on them finally.

Firefly Jericho

I'm a dumb person, after the cancellation of Firefly & Jericho I still watch Lost, Heroes, 24, Dollhouse and Defying Gravity. Oh, I forgot, they're dead too.

Boomtown

Boomtown was easily the worst cancellation of the 2000's, followed by Journeyman. First they tinkered with Boomtown's awesome format and then they cancelled it after only a few episodes in season two. This show had a ton of potential.

So annoyed

I just discovered The Class on E4 but could only watch 1 episode as it came on very early in the mornings so I started watching it on youtube. Then I found out it got cancelled after the 19th episode so it was just left hanging on this massive cliffhanger. I loved all the cast and it was very funny: like another friends.

Journeyman!!

I'm wasn't a fan of any of the shows you listed. Journeyman was an amazing show with such potential but the writer's strike made the show end way before it's time. That has to be the biggest loss of the decade. Only 13 episodes aired. That show is way better than most of the crap on TV today. Luckily, ABC hit the jackpot when they hired Kevin Mckidd to play Owen Hunt so he's doing very well. NBC used to be my favorite station but they've just gone to hell now that their amazing 90s shows like FRIENDS and ER are over. They make one terrible decision after another. ABC is really where its at these days. The only good show on NBC is Parenthood. Even Heroes sucks now.

Life

Why did NBC have to cancel such an entertaining show? I'm so sick of reality shows that if that was all I had to watch, I'd just as soon not have a tv. The cast had great chemistry, and there was a great storyline. I'm not sure whether to get into anymore NBC shows. They have to cancel the good ones like "Life."

Kyle Xy

I have never been so heart broken by a cancellation, truly a wonderfully cast, uniquly written with a family feel and definite humor - SAVE KYLE XY
—Guest kxygirl

Firefly

I can not believe that Firefly didn't make this list. A movie was made soley because of the fan outcry & DVD sales when it was canceled. Frankly I don't like to even get interested in TV shows now.
—Guest kysersose

All of those and another few

LIFE and Jericho were the worst cancelations, bot because of how awesome the shows were, and because of the crappy job the networks did of trying to end them. Both series finalies were some of the worst television ever put on the air. The premises were stupid and the summation provided was insulting. Both shows attracted a higher than average intelligence level than most shows and then they try to end them with the writers from The Bachelor. Finally, though the list is long, this is why network television is where it is, and I hope HBO and Showtime along with the cable networks continue to kick the crap out of them. oh and I miss moonlight, my own worst enemy, eleventh hour, and 20 other shows i have not the time or room to list.
