The '00s saw many great television dramas get the almighty axe. Was one of your favorite shows among the victims? Weigh in on which of your favorite shows were canceled in the last decade. Share Your TV Heartaches

Journeyman, Flashforwad, Raines

Loved Journeyman and Flashforward as excellent modern time-travel tales. Fine acting and superb writing. And, I really miss the wonderfully original Raines which had the best premise of all: Police Detective experiencing nervous breakdown speaks with imaginary characters who help him solve the crime. Fantastic acting by Jeff Goldblum and utterly divine writing. So sad to see that what the quality of writing on TV has devolved to in their absence.

Life On Mars

I loved this show. It was well made and the acting was great. Why do people not like good quality programs anymore? Just when you think that you have found one that speaks to you it's canceled or moved and you then can't find it. TV like the movies these days are making this girl go back to reading more. To be honest I haven't missed TV that much since.

Stargate Atlantis

Still miss this show alot .The lack of good tv is forcing me to watch more news and other garbage . really miss scifi shows but the idiots in charge only want reality crap because it is cheap to make ..wish they would create a new stargate or star trek any thing but more boring and stupid reality shows. hope last man standing survives on abc because its actually half way decent for a sitcom. but that is wishful thinking also.

Amazing Grace and Third Watch

Why don't these people ask the viewers what they want to watch. these realty shows are stupid!

Reaper

There was something about that show that I just loved! The season ended with this huge cliffhanger and no words could describe the heartbreak I felt when it didn't return =( Bad move people!!

Firefly/prime/suspect

While these Teton don't have much in comman except for quality episodes, both ended prematurely with much more left to say thanks to network shortsightedness.

DAMAGES MY SO CALLED LIFE

Damages, My So Called Life (best ever 90's I think not 2000's but still)

The 4400, Caprica, and Monk

Another response talked about imagination and what if scenarios, which is apparently lost in today's reality based TV. We've become a nation of voyeurs. Sadly, creativity is lost. Makes me wonder if there just isn't enough writing talent to go around. Monk at least had closure, but millions were left hanging when The 4400 ended. As for SyFy canceling Caprica and replacing it with a wrestling show, well, need I say more? SyFy is notorious for canceling outstanding, well written, and though provoking shows. While I enjoy the comedy of Warehouse 13, it doesn't come close to the emotionally moving drama of Battlestar Galactica. Rather than allowing Battlestar to usher in a new era of science fiction television with Caprica, we get....wrestling. As long as small minded individuals continue to watch reality TV, creative and imaginative shows will always be fighting uphill.

Pushing Daisies

It killed me when they axed this show. ABC has still not made it up to me. This was one of the most original scripts in years! The tragic yet true-love affair between Ned and Chuck was amazing stuff. The show itself was an absolute beauty. The sets and the ambience were even characters! I truly miss this show!

Touching Evil (US)

Maybe I'm just a fan of Jeffrey Donovan, but I absolutely loved this show. I recommend it if you've never seen it. :)

Felicity

This show is my all-time favorite. My heart broke when I learned of the final season. Fortunately, the show lasted for an impressive 4 seasons and I had closure with the final season. When I think about it, the shows' storyline really did go as far as it could without becoming desperate. Still, it was a quality show, and I'm so loyal to J.J Abrams for creating it that he could create/direct garbage and I would still watch it. I'm a fan of J.J Abrams for life. I'm so happy for the big-time sucess he's found since Felicity. My only issue is that I would love to see rebroadcasts of the show, but thusfar I haven't seen any. Most of the episodes I've only seen once, but I still remember everything that happened.

dark angel!!

this show had so much promise and was always reviewed really highly,it had a huge number of veiwers but alas the greedy exceutives at fox decieded to change the time slot (as they so often do,and it always ruins the show) it ended well but it had so much left to give, also angel was hard to take, ever since that fantsy shows havent had the same i duno impact, buffy and angel were amazing, birds of prey (the wb's biggest show ever) was cancelled for no reason,it had there biggest ratings but they were to arrogant to greenlight it for a second seadon, sci fi is suffering because of these greedy network execs who dont care about story telling at all, which makes me wonder how they ever got there, fox deserves to rot leave joss whedon be hes a genius

shows I still miss...

Quantum Leap--still consider this my all time favorite show. Veronica Mars--cut way too soon EZ Streets--full of flawed characters with haunting music. perfection Nowhere Man--gripping drama should have gone on for years My So-Called Life--another excellent show canceled way too soon. the networks seem to want to force feed us reality shows. most of these I hate. wish tv would get back to being entertaining.
