Is Jennie Garth Headed to 90210?

Fox and the CW have yet to announce their fall schedules, yet there are two shows that have already generated a tremendous amount of buzz in the last few weeks.

Beverly Hills 90210 Remake
When the CW announced their interest in remaking the '90s mega-hit Beverly Hills 90210, many wondered if any original cast members would join the cast. We already know that there are two characters with the last names Silver and Zuckerman, but would their parents come along for the ride?

As the series gets closer to creating the pilot, the rumor mill has been working overtime. The latest casting rumor has quickly gained momentum and may indeed have some merit. Kristen at E! Online reports that although Rob Thomas had hoped to bring Jennie Garth into the series to reprise her role as Kelly Taylor, a source revealed that the CW will not make any decisions until the script is in place. Garth had planned on joining the cast of the CBS comedy My Best Friend's Girl, but she has since backed out of the series. Coincidence? I don't think so....

Dollhouse
Buffy and Angel fans rejoiced when word got out that Joss Whedon is creating a thrilling new sci-fi series called Dollhouse. Eliza Dushku is set to star in the series and most recently, Whedon announced that Angel star Amy Acker has signed on to play the recurring role of Dr. Claire Saunders.

Will either series live up to all the hype? That remains to be seen, but if I had to choose one, I'd go with Dollhouse. Joss Whedon is always a sure thing!
