It's six weeks since the events of the last episode transpired and Meredith is trying hard to deal with Derek and Rose's budding relationship. Shonda Rhimes has already indicated that Derek and Meredith will indeed be back together by the end of the season.

Meredith, Alex, Izzie and Cristina will be in a surgical contest and guess who's judging? That's right, it's Bailey. This ought to be fun!

George and Lexie become roommates in a meager apartment.

Cristina is not too happy when her new roommate Callie strikes up a friendship with Hahn.

Rumor has it that the George and Izzie (a.k.a. "Gizzie") relationship is coming to an end. Perhaps at some point it will be revisited, but not this season.
