ABC released details of what we can expect when Lost returns this fall:
- At the end of season two, Jack, Kate and Sawyer were captured by the "Others." As season three unfolds, we'll learn more about who these people are and what their true motives are.
- A new love interest for Jack (Juliet, played by Elizabeth Mitchell) begins to play itself out -- but does this mysterious new woman have other motives?
- Locke (who obviously survives the hatch blast) and Sayid will gather some of the other survivors to rescue Jack, Kate and Sawyer.
- Penny Widmore will continue her search for Desmond, which means we will view more episodes of current events rather than just flashbacks. We should also begin finding out more about Widmore and the connection to the Hanso Foundation and Dharma.
- Will Claire ever trust Charlie again? Charlie will work his way towards redemption and forgiveness.
- The first episode is titled, "A Tale of Two Cities" and will serve as a flashback episode for Jack. More on this episode
