The WB May Sweeps Highlights:
- Fans of Charmed have known for a long time that this would be the very last season. In fact, the writers have been writing the ending for several months so us fans could get an ending we'd be satisfied with in the long run. Are Billie and Christy the Ultimate Power? Sure seems like it and the sisters are going to do whatever they have to do in order to put a stop to them. Christy and Billie will also stop at nothing to defeat the witches, including turning the entire magical community against them. Leo returns on the May 14th episode and will continue appearing through the finale. The finale will span 80 years in the Charmed Ones lives, so we will have the opportunity to see how they battle evil while continuing to expand their own families through the year 2050. The series finale airs on May 21st.
- Is 7th Heaven really ending this season? That remains to be seen, but for now, the series finale will go on as planned. Will Simon and Rose stop fighting long enough to actually make it through the ceremony? Before the wedding, Rose drops a bombshell on Simon by telling him she may be pregnant. Rose's parents think she may be lying in order to pressure Simon into going through with the ceremony. Ruthie will find true love. Kevin and Lucy will have a big baby announcement to make. Mary will return for the finale, but won't actually be attending the wedding. She will have big news of her own to share with the gang. Matt and Sarah arrive for the wedding, also with news to share. I hear someone is expecting twins! The series finale airs on May 8th.
- Will Everwood live on to air on the CW? Let's hope it does, but in case we have seen the last of this fantastic series, the writers have added a fail-safe to the finale. Nina will reveal she still has feelings for Andy -- where will this leave her and Jake? Harold and Bright have some big time making up to do with the women in their lives. After receiving devastating news from his medical school advisor, Reid attempts suicide. One main and much-loved character will die by season's end. Will Ephram and Amy finally get back together? That question will be answered should this be the last season of Everwood. The season (series?) finale airs on May 15th.
- As the season winds down on Gilmore Girls, Rory realizes she must say goodbye to Logan, who is leaving for London immediately after graduation. Lorelai, realizing she made a huge mistake by allowing Luke to postpone the wedding, decides to issue him an ultimatum. Fans of Gilmore Girls have nothing to worry about, this should is as good as renewed for next season. The season finale airs on May 9th.
- Is this the end of the rope for One Tree Hill? Given the plunge in the ratings this season, don't be surprised if the season finale turns out to be the series finale. OTH fans should continue sending letters to the WB/CW. In the finale, Dan finally learns the truth about the dealership fire from Deb. Nathan continues to worry about Haley's safety as their wedding date approaches. Fans will be left with an agonizing cliffhanger by season's end. The season (series?) finale airs on May 3rd.
- Smallville fans should have nothing to worry about going into the season finale since the likelihood of the series being renewed is very high. Will Clark kill Lionel? Clark is stunned when the ghost of his father appears and tells him that Lionel must die. Lex continues working with Milton Fine. He decides to develop a vaccine to counteract the deadly virus Fine is planning to unleash on the world. When Fine injects Lex with the virus, he develops powers. Fine (a.k.a. Brainiac) issues Clark an ultimatum: Release General Zod and receive the vaccine or the entire world will die from the virus. Lex's life is about to go through a major change -- have we seen the last of the mostly mild-mannered Lex Luthor forever? By season's end, someone close to Clark will be trapped on a plane with the evil Brainiac! The season finale airs on May 11th.
